This service provides free supportive medical and nursing services to cancer patients of Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital for whom treatment is no longer an option and who require supportive care in their own homes. Cancer patients who are not patients of Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital, but who are referred to/or register directly with Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital Palliative Care doctor, may avail of this service. |

Pastoral Care is a ministry of presence offered to all our patients, their families and their carers by our Pastoral Care Team. Staff are specially qualified to give such support. Pastoral Care enables you to share your anxieties about yourself, your family or any concern you may wish to talk about. We provide spiritual, emotional and social support. Ministers of different religions are most welcome to visit their own patients. |

Our trained staff will care for you throughout your stay here. The Oncologists will visit you everyday and during emergencies. Treatment will be carried out as prescribed by your doctor. Each day meals are catered for you. You have the luxury and privacy of either air-conditioned single room, double-bedded rooms or open ward beds with television and telephone for your convenience. All our rooms are fully furnished with attached shower and toilet facilities except for open ward. Each room has a balcony and overlooks either a beautiful landscaped garden or the hill and the sea. Your needs will be taken care by our team of doctors, nurses and Allied Health staff.  |

A Medical Physicist’s primary role is to assure that the highest level of quality care is maintain in the planning and treatment management of the patient. The Medical Physicist also maintains the quality assurance programme in radiation oncology. The physicist is responsible for commissioning the equipment used in radiation therapy. He /She also contributes to the development of development of therapeutic techniques such as Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery and collaborate with radiation oncologists in planning and management of each patients treatment plan. The Medical Physicist is also responsible to ensure that all the radiation equipment is in good working order. |
